Job Description

·       Scope of job is to cover, lead, deliver direction, and support problem solving in Development engineering, Quality assurance-SQE, Quality Control-ISO9001 & QMS, Production engineering, Continuous improvement, and HT technical team along with material engineering function.

·       Lead/support major communication for both internal and external customers including FB group and customers when needed and also follow up weekly and monthly performance update(Ops review, VAVE, One FB metrics, and etc) to related teams for both internal/global teams.

·       Development engineering team covers design review and proposal, new product development, market research with sales team, control drawings and BOM, lead costing activity, build standard design template and application database, offer engineering expertise to internal and external customers, and follow up other activities related to engineering team.

·       Quality assurance team covers control of final inspection, incoming inspection, HT inspection, attribute/variable gauge control and maintenance, DPPM control, problem solving with customer complaint and build database, and follow up on PPAP.

·       SQE function is part of engineering and quality to perform major supplier assessment and delivering requirement to ensure good quality product delivery to Metkraft or FB group.

·       Quality control team covers control of inhouse product quality, audit process and follow up all DMR cases with 4M specific root cause. And also lead ISO9001 related audit, renewal, and follow up and control QMS.

·       Production engineering covers improvement of process, defining new product process, designing and building fixtures/function gauges, building process drawings and cycle time standard, control production tools for incoming and disposal, and reviewing and confirming actual cycle time per each process along with problem solving from process and product.

·       Continuous improvement covers to implement lean 6 sigma process on site and also lead Kaizen project with all related departments, offering coaching and mentoring as needed. Communicate/follow up with FB CI team on the progress of Kaizen event on a regular basis guided by FB group but driven by Metkraft teams.

·       HT technical team covers the scope of managing heat treatment recipes, validation of process when major issues arise, develop new recipes for new material grades, offering proposals for new costing cases, follow up on improvement of process. Any issues related to HT process to be led by this team identifying root cause and offering solution for both short and long term.

·       Material engineering function covers to identify material issues by macro and/or microstructure analysis and also part of new material evaluation when developing new supplier and/or new material grades. Build database for all material defect case from Metkraft process.

·       Set up clear KPI, Goal, Bonus, and periodic evaluation criteria for each level of each team and lead to successful completion of the goal. And also build probation programs for all levels of employees within the teams.

·       Coach and mentor engineering/quality departments to lead and execute tasks flawless.

·       Set up yearly department budget and control and execute per schedule.

·       Lead all major problems, issues related to product and process and ensure to implement timely and proper corrective actions as needed.

·       Support/define major project scope and lead until timely and successful completion.

·       Review and approve on capital investment at Metkraft when requested.

·       Support customers to verify issues related to Metkraft and/or competitors’ products and also to improve performance as needed.

·       Accept tasks and jobs as requested.

Job Requirements

·       15  years’ experience in metal product industry or equivalent and more than 5 years of managing experience of multi-functional teams with strong communication skills.

·       Strong leadership skills to manage internal departments and to lead and support cross-functional teams.

·       Global business and project experience by interacting multiple entities to drive the tasks successful.

·       Solid understanding in design engineering, production engineering, quality assurance, quality control, HT, material engineering, and leading project.

·       Leading and maintaining ISO9001, QMS, and others related.

·       Leading cost saving projects or experience in any form of Kaizen, CI, and/or VAVE.

·       Good understanding in MS Office, Minitab, GD&T, CAD, AIAG manual-APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, ISO9001, QMS, Material and HT process, manufacturing process, lean 6 sigma, 3L5whys, and problem solving.

·       Creative problem solver with strong analytical skill and result oriented. Must possess proven skills and abilities in the areas of leadership, planning, manufacturing system and processes, continuous improvement in manufacturing field, employee involvement in development and setting up strategic future planning.

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Required Qualifications:

·       BS degree in Manufacturing or Engineering field or related.

Proficient English communication capability to perform global tasks.
