About This Team

Our Costing team plays an essential part in the liaison office (LLO). Together with global production and merchandising, quality, business solutions and product creation teams, it's to ensure our products are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world.

The team owns the analytics related to costing and comprehends the underlying issues that create complexity for the vendors and the production process. They also support productivity and efficiency by providing leadership and direction to their partners, minimising waste and enhancing operations, and using proven industrial engineering techniques to achieve competitive advantage and improve quality and productivity.

A Day In The Life

• Be the industrial engineering expert for global production and sourcing to execute costing excellence projects through best practices and continuous improvement activities with our suppliers and cross-functional partners
• Identify and evaluate problems, implement efficiency opportunities such as SMV & material usage and develop improvements on production, efficient material utilisation
• Develop and maintain efficiency by building up short/mid/long-range plans to deliver measurable and sustainable improvement in manufacturing costs, following global production, and sourcing strategy
• Identify and evaluate cost improvement opportunities within the production environment, track all data of cost improvement initiatives
• Ensure improvements are sustained through the introduction of work instructions, workplace organisation, quality standards, training records and performance measurement
• Collaborate with factories as an external consultant to make recommendations to industrial engineering and costing teams to improve costing processes
• Adapt new technology, machinery processes and execute the best production methods to impact cost from poor quality
• Perform feasibility studies of various projects to determine the value of potential opportunities for the business
• Execute industrial engineering techniques and drive change to exist processes with increased productivity/efficiency to reduce cost
• Implement the industrial engineering concept to both company and vendors to improve the operations management and meet seasonal goals
