Senior Corporate Social Responsibility Officer – Ho Chi Minh City Based
Job Description
1. Conduct Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Audits in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries,
2. Write and submit audit reports in timely manner,
3. Develop reasonable Corrective Actions Plan with suppliers after CSR Audit by providing necessary support and guidance,
4. Formulate, implement and evaluate tailor-made corrective measures with building tools and template to improve suppliers’ conditions,
5. Conduct effective coaching and training to internal and external stakeholders
6. Work closely with CSR Manager in Hong Kong to determine the best CSR approaches for suppliers in Southeast Asia,
7. Collaborate strategically with Purchasing Team to drive improvement at suppliers and phase out poor factories,
8. Analyze audit data and benchmark international CSR standards to give recommendation for program enhancement,
9. Enhance and enforce implementation of SOP, and
10. Conduct ad hoc visits & projects
Job Requirements
Requirements
1. Degree holder, in Social Science or Accounting,
2. At least 5 years CSR auditing experience for factories producing diversified merchandises in Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries,
3. At least 3 years experience in launching improvement program with suppliers to meet legal and CSR standards,
4. Creative and innovative problem-solver, able to meet tight deadline and work under high pressure,
5. Well-versed understanding on general suppliers operations including CSR approach and production flow,
6. Demonstrated effective skills in coaching and training suppliers to deal with critical CSR issues persistently,
7. Solid experience in delivering CSR training to internal and external stakeholders,
8. SA8000 Lead Auditor is an absolute advantage,
9. Strong knowledge of local labor, health and safety and environmental laws including Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries as well as CSR standards such as RBA & SA8000,
- Self-motivated, detailed-oriented & organized,
- High degree of work ethics and integrity,
- Independent and responsible as well as ability to work in a team,
- Frequent domestic and international travels,
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills,
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, and
- Knowledge of Malay and/or Thai is a plus definitely,
- Proficiency in MS office
- Candidates with less experience may be considered as CSR Offcer
